What is the Joy Run 0.5k? Every year in June you can join your fellow race-slackers for an experience of triumph, victory and celebration during this annual 0.5k race (a/k/a 1640 ft, 656 steps, 500 meters). Get ready for the glory of being a race-finisher and your participation medals, all to raise money for Joy Meadows foster care community! It is a tongue-in-cheek event that will parody the typical 5k. The goodies and swag for runners are amazing. The family fun includes bounce houses, face paint, balloons, cotton candy, DONUTS, crafts, obstacle course, photo booth, and more.
The Joy Run 0.5k is also a great community-wide foster care awareness event. We have Info Booths with various organizations, ministries, and agencies that are all impacting foster care in some way so that everyone can find a way to get involved.
Location: T-Bones ball stadium in Kansas City, Kansas. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to get involved in The Joy Run 0.5k 2020!
2018 1st Annual Joy Run 0.5k
The 1st Joy Run 0.5k was held at Basehor-Linwood High School in June, 2018. We had over 350 participants, and several child placing agencies and organizations came to help raise funds for Joy Meadows and awareness for foster care. It was a great time for everyone!
