3 segments of holistic care for foster families, The Joy Meadows Model

Joy Meadows is a foster care community just outside of the Kansas City metro serving foster and adoptive children in Kansas and beyond.  It is the mission of Joy Meadows to provide foster families with community support, housing, and resources so that children in foster care can find stability, healing, and joy.

A holistic model of care with three integrated areas of support to provide children with stability, healing and joy.

Resources

Multiple programs resource the needs of foster and adoptive parents and children through therapy, nature-based activities, summer camps, clothing closet, support, and mentoring.

Community support

The church network equips local churches to implement and maintain care communities for foster families and provides a forum to share resources. We also expand community engagement by partnerships with agencies, churches and training volunteers to become active in foster care.

Housing

Provide on-site housing for foster families to take in large sibling groups and children needing placement. Provide care communities and on-site resources for resident families.
